RLB II is a criminal defense trial attorney whose practice is limited solely to representation of people accused of crimes in West Virginia Courts, and in Federal Court in the Southern District of West Virginia. RLB II is a lifelong resident of Huntington, West Virginia, and upon obtaining his law license in 1982, he was appointed to the position of City of Huntington Municipal Court Prosecuting Attorney for 3 years. In 1985 he began his solo law practice handling criminal defense and various types of civil cases. In 2010 he limited his practice to representing only those accused of crimes in State and Federal Courts. To the best of his knowledge he is the only full-time privately retained criminal defense attorney in the Southwestern Region of West Virginia.
RLB II has been practicing criminal law his entire 42 years of being a licensed attorney in West Virginia. He has successfully handled well over a thousand DUI cases, and several hundred drug and gun cases in West Virginia state courts and Federal District Courts. He has appeared as counsel with clients in Municipal Courts, Magistrate Courts, Circuit Courts, West Virginia Supreme Court, Federal Magistrate Courts, Federal District Courts, and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has won trials in State and Federal Courts, including winning cases before the West Virginia Supreme Court.
